Who’s your Rider of the Year? Well the vote is open for you to let us know, but be quick, voting in our inaugural Rider of the Year awards, sponsored by Lezyne. closes on Friday 13 October!
These cyclists, unsung legends, content creators, activists and route planners are all worthy of huge admiration, but there can only be one winner in each of our categories. That means whittling the 15 cyclists here down to just three overall winners.
Your opinion counts, so head to the link below to vote in the Rider of the Year and Newcomer of the Year categories. The winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award will be decided by our panel. May the most deserving win!
All three winners will be revealed at an exclusive ceremony with Lezyne and acclaimed (i.e. mightily tasty) local brewer Wiper and True at Cycling Plus Towers in November and in the January 2024 edition of the magazine.

Categories
Rider of the Year Award
We’re looking for the cyclist who has made a significant impact in 2023, whether through competing at an amateur or semi-pro level, taking part in an event or adventure, leading a group or community, or any other contribution to the sport of cycling.
Newcomer of the year Award
The same criteria apply, but we’re after someone who wasn’t a big name in 2022, and maybe still isn’t. They don’t necessarily have to be young or new to the sport, but they will have done something special in 2023 that deserves recognition.
Lifetime Achievement Award
This one’s pretty self-explanatory – the winner will be a veteran of the sport and someone who’s known as legendary for their club contributions, epic cycling efforts or work in the cycling community.
