If you've never experienced the thrill of speeding through the night with just the light on your bike, and those of the riders around you, to illuminate the way then you've so far missed out on one of cycling's great pleasures. But fear not, Cycling Plus has teamed up with the British Heart Foundation to offer you the chance to put things right in October by joining their great Manchester to Blackpool Night Ride.
You'll set off from the famous Old Trafford Cricket Ground at midnight on Saturday 6 September, and 52 dark, Lancashire miles later you will find yourself rolling along Blackpool Promenade on the morning of Sunday 7 September with the city's famous illuminations lit up exclusively to welcome you.
