In 2018 Cycling Plus joined forces with Alpecin to give three lucky readers the ride of their lives! Laura Cook, Murray Cox and Les Pegler were selected from over 1000 Cycling Plus readers to ride a stage of the Tour de France at L’Étape du Tour. The great news is that Team Alpecin is back for 2019 and we’re looking for three more readers to join us at the Etape on July the 21st. This year’s event follows the route of stage 20 of Le Tour between Albertville and Val Thorens. It promises to be an epic ride as although it ‘only’ covers 135km, you’ll climb 4563 metres and ‘enjoy’ a summit finish at 2635m – the highest ever Etape finishing line! Team Alpecin isn’t just about the destination – the journey is just as important. To help you nail the Etape you’ll be part of a truly multi-national team and, as well as your Etape entry, you’ll be provided with a stunning Canyon road bike, a full wardrobe of team kit, an individual training plan for the Etape, an exclusive training camp in Italy’s South Tyrol and much, much more.
