Subscriber Club: Win a pack of Torq Explore flapjacks & storage canister
20 packs of delicious Torq Fitness flapjacks up for grabs to subscribers!
As well as getting the mag early and at a discounted rate, Cycling Plus subscribers have access to an exclusive Subscriber Club filled with monthly offers, competitions and/or bonus articles. In our latest issue (Cycling Plus 371/October 2020) – with subscribers and in shops now – we’re giving away 20 goody bags, courtesy of the good folk at Torq Fitness.
Few things hit the spot when it comes to fuelling a long bike ride quite like a flapjack. Apart from being super tasty, they power your rides primarily with their main ingredient: oats. With a low GI (glycemic index), oats release carbohydrates more slowly over time, which helps to regulate blood sugar.
TORQ’s range of organic Explore flapjacks do just that and are available in five flavours: Apple Strudel, Banana Cake, Bakewell Slice, Carrot Cake and Ginger Cake. TORQ says these organic, vegan-friendly snacks are “energy-enriched, soft, syrupy and deliciously tasty”, while in our last issue, we declared that “energy products have no right to taste this good!”
While TORQ also produce energy bars for high-performance athletes, the Explore bars, as the name suggests, are made for the non-competitive rider who’s simply looking to fuel all-day adventures with tasty, homely treats. They are jam-packed with carbohydrate (43g per 65g bar, and 263 kcal) to help fuel your ride and boost recovery, delivered not only from the organic oats, fruit, molasses and syrup, but also from organic maltodextrin, which has superior carbohydrate delivery properties.
We have 20 TORQ goody bags to be won, each of which contains 10 Explore flapjacks - two of each of the five flavours – along with a TORQ Carry Canister (worth £12). Made from a single piece of aluminium, this robust and stylish airtight and screw-top container is perfect for storing up to 800g (depending on density) of product, such as TORQ Energy Drink powder or TORQ Press Coffee. Make it a classy addition to your kitchen counter or to your bag on your travels. TORQ developed it as a reusable storage container, as it moves away from supplying its products in larger plastic tubs in preference for pouches.
